-this piece has had the most revisits out of any of the other tracks on this album. it initially started as a recorded narration of my novel using various audio drama-type aesthetics. after sitting on it for years, matthew gagne approached me about working with him on a short horror-film and then I composed some additional grotesque soundscapes on top of the guttural vocal stretching he was doing during the piece. the atmosphere of the project really resonated with me. so I chopped it and collaged it into this track along with some recordings from the horse caves in Hadley and the stream at Sanderson Brook Falls. the guitar was recorded last in some oddball open minor tuning with a yamaha from the 70s.
